Leading with our Vail Hearts, since 1970

We wanted to include models that know the J. Cotter Gallery by heart. When you call the studio or gallery, these are the people you’re chatting with, this is the team behind our jewelry. They work with us in the studio and the gallery. Because we make what we sell, we’re able to be involved in the process from start to finish. We lead with our hearts at J. Cotter Gallery because we want you to love your piece of jewelry.

The heart design has been in existence since ancient times. It was associated with spiritual qualities for the owner and represents love and devotion. We have our own version of the pendant, crafted with an open heart. The design is influenced by the surrounding mountains that form the valley as well as the classic symbol of love. Our love for the area runs deep in the Vail Valley. All jewelry pieces are designed and made by Jim Cotter.

Mariah, a former gallery associate, is wearing a Large Pavé Diamond Vail Heart and Organic Vail Heart Pendant artfully layered with a classic gold chain. These necklaces are crafted with yellow or white gold and pave diamonds, hand polished for high shine. Wear these necklaces on their own or layered for the greatest effect.

Clara, a studio intern and gallery associate, layered the Organic Vail Heart Pendant necklaces with varying lengths. Finishing the layered look is a traditional sterling silver chain. Organic curves highlight the nature of the Vail Heart Earrings in sterling silver polishing off the entire look.

And Quinn, the manager of our studio, wears his (silver) Organic Vail Heart paired with a beaded onyx and sterling silver necklace. Completing the look is a faceted sterling silver cuff and two heavy sterling silver rings.
